EcoDrive - Low Emission Vehicle Drive Day

Concerns about how vehicles may be damaging the environment and affecting climate are finally gaining traction with fleet owners and society generally. 

Initiatives such as the Low Emission Vehicle Automotive Partnership Forum and Drive Day will provide impetus to changing attitudes and vehicle purchasing decisions.

This special event sponsored by Future Climate Australia in partnership with the RACV and EPA Victoria was first held in 2008.  Attended by industry and government fleet specialists and supported by vehicle manufacturers, participants had an opportunity to test drive more than 30 alternative low emission vehicles including hybrids and diesels offering global friendly emission standards while delivering exciting performance.   

The event was staged by Murcotts and was so successful that it will be held again on 20 April 2009 at Sandown Park.

Murcotts trainers who have been accredited by the EPA to conduct EcoDrive programs will again conduct a drive experience component allowing  guests to experience the safety, economic and environmental benefits of EcoDriving and Ecofriendly vehicles.  See Greenwheels.com.au.

A WICKED day at Sandown Raceway!

Last week, Murcotts Driving Excellence had the plesure of putting on a show for members of the WICKED cast including Penny McNamee, Rodney Dobson, Stuart Fisher and Ryan Sheppard with a Defensive Drive Day at Sandown International Raceway.

WICKED's vehicle sponsor, Volvo, generously provided their latest range of vehicles for the cast to put through their paces with both showing why they are top class performers.

Only hours after leaving the track, the cast were back on stage and ready for another big night with reviews from our own staff telling us this show is not to be missed!!!
